Service Bulletin HB-0902-08 Pothole Arm & Drive Speed Mode Limit Switch Adjustment on Hy-Brid HB 1430 We have been receiving numerous complaints from the field that the machines won't lift above 68". The cause of this problem is that the pothole interlock switch is not opening before the drive speed mode switch closes. There seems to be some confusion on how to adjust the limit switches that enable the unit to lift beyond 68". The following procedure should be followed when making any adjustments.
1. Raise platform to 68". This is measured from the diamond plate platform to the ground. Install maintenance lock pins. (Refer to page 6 in the operators' manual) 2. Locate the drive speed mode switch. It is located under the left rear side of the lower scissor beam. 3. Loosen the 3mm Allen screw or the Phillips head screw on the switch arm and shorten it so the roller on the arm is closest to the switch. Make sure switch shaft lock screw is tight. 4. Extend the arm with the roller touching the beam until the switch clicks and tighten the 3mm or Phillips screw. Push the switch arm down and slowly raise it up until it touches the beam. The switch should click just as it touches the beam. |
